Lucerna assigns an anonymous device identifier to manage your subscription status and study query balance. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information. There are no user accounts.
When you use the Word Study feature, your query — which includes only biblical word data, Strong's numbers, morphological forms, and passage text — is sent to our server, which forwards it to a language model for processing. No personal information is included in these requests. Our server does not store your queries or the responses — it only tracks your anonymous query count.

This information remains on your device unless you enable iCloud synchronization. Your on-device data can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.
Subscribers can sync highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading progress, and study conversations across devices via iCloud. This data resides in your personal iCloud account and is not accessible to Lucerna.
Lucerna does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
